Chemical fertilisers can be a great help in the growth of your lawn, but over time they can also severely degrade the quality of your soil, and hence quality of your lawn. Chemical fertilisers are made up from ingredients which have been chemically processed and refined to boost the number of nutrients in your soil. The only problem with this is that soil is made up of more than just nutrients. The best organic lawn fertiliser to use is Lawn Top Dressing which has slow release nutrition to feed your soil which ultimately leads to improved root structure and growth. Lawn Top Dressing also helps to break down the thatch layer and improve drainage.
