 Why Should You Top Dress Your Lawn

We have listened to the experts and created this great product. In the interests of fertility and the environment we incorporate compost rather than peat in all our top dressings

We have two grades of top dressing available.

50:50 adds more fertility to poor lawns or greens

80:20 adds more drainage to compacted lawns or greens on heavy soils


Both mixes are created using dried compost, graded to 3mm, and the highest quality, double washed, USGA Specification, Sports Grade Sand. The resultant mix has a pH of around 6.5, and a low content of fine particles, perfect for the bulk of grass species and soil types.

One of the real benefits from Top dressing with our peat-free materials is that the beneficial bugs that are produced during the composting process have the effect of controlling some of the diseases that can attack your grass.

And as if that wasn’t enough, our product contains a natural Nitrogen and Iron content which is released slowly and gives a long term, greening effect.

Here we are offering a pallet of 40 x 25Kg packs which will cover 150 square metres at 5mm depth (Larger packs and bulk deliveries are available on request).

PS Every pack of top dressing contains a complimentary pack of grass seed absolutely free (approx 0.75KG) to help you oversow or repair any worn patches. Bowling greens please note that you can specify the seed mix you require.
